Experts Pool

Consultant Cairo, with assignments nationwide

CGS works assignment by assignment. Most of what we deliver — evaluations, baseline and endline studies, needs assessments, institutional capacity work — is staffed by specialists brought in for the assignment rather than held on permanent payroll.

This is the roster we staff from. It is not a dated vacancy: applications stay on file, and we come back to them when a call for proposals matches what someone does.

Who we usually look for

  • Evaluation specialists working to OECD/DAC criteria
  • Sector experts — gender and GBV, child protection, forced displacement, social protection, livelihoods, agriculture and rural development, TVET and employment promotion
  • Quantitative analysts, sampling and questionnaire designers
  • Qualitative researchers and analysts
  • MEL system designers and results-based management trainers
  • Institutional capacity assessors, trainers and facilitators
  • Report writers in Arabic and in English

How it works

Tell us what you do, where you have worked, when you are available and what you charge. When a call for proposals matches, we get in touch.

Your CV stays on file with your permission, and that permission runs for twelve months. We email you at six months to ask whether it is still current, and again at twelve to ask whether you would like to stay on the roster. If we do not hear back, your details are deleted.

If you are put forward as key personnel on a specific bid, we will come to you for a signed availability declaration — donors require one for each tender, so you will always know when your name is on a proposal.
