Privacy Policy

Common Ground Solutions ("CGS", "we") is a consultancy based in Egypt. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it, and sets out the terms for using cgseg.com. We handle personal data in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).

1. Visitors to this website

What we collect

  • When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number, organization and message.
  • When you browse the site: technical cookies needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in or remembering your language. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not currently use analytics services.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, to discuss and deliver work you have asked us about, and to keep the site running securely. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires us to keep it.

2. Job applicants and our experts pool

This part applies when you apply through cgseg.com/careers, including joining our experts pool.

What we collect

Your name and prefix, email address, phone number, country and governorate or city, highest degree, years of experience, areas of expertise, summary of expertise, LinkedIn profile and CV. Some vacancies also ask for your expected daily rate and your availability.

Why we use it

  • To assess you for the vacancy you applied to, and for future assignments that match your expertise.
  • To include your CV in proposals we submit to clients, such as development partners, donors and public bodies, some of which are based outside Egypt.
  • To contact you about opportunities and about your details.

Your consent

By submitting an application you authorize CGS to keep your CV for twelve months and to include it in proposals. You can withdraw this at any time. Being named as key personnel on a specific bid always needs your separate written confirmation for that bid.

Who can see your details

CGS staff involved in recruitment and proposals; the clients who evaluate a proposal that includes your CV; and the service providers that host our systems and deliver our email.

How long we keep them

  • Twelve months from your application.
  • About six months after your last CV, we email you to invite an update.
  • Four weeks before the twelve months end, we email you to ask whether you would like us to keep your CV for another twelve months.
  • If you do not reply, your CV, applications and contact details are deleted four weeks after that date. We do not treat silence as agreement.
  • If you work with CGS, we keep the contract and payment records the law requires.

Your choices

Every email we send you links to your own profile page, where you can upload a newer CV, renew for twelve months or delete your details. You can also write to hr@cgseg.com at any time.

3. Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. We share personal data only with the parties described above, with the service providers that host this website and deliver our email (some of which operate outside Egypt), and with public authorities where the law requires it. Write to info@cgseg.com, or hr@cgseg.com for applications, and we will reply within 30 days.

4. Terms of use

By using cgseg.com you agree to these terms.

  • Content. The content of this site is general information about CGS and its work. We take care to keep it accurate, but it is not professional advice, and we make no warranty that it is complete or current.
  • Intellectual property. Unless stated otherwise, the text, images and design of this site belong to CGS or are used with permission. You may link to our pages and quote short extracts with attribution; any other reuse needs our written permission.
  • Links to other sites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of websites we link to.
  • Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction.

5. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date at the top.
