Data Collection Field Staff

CGS runs large-scale quantitative and qualitative fieldwork across Egypt — household and establishment surveys, focus group discussions and key informant interviews — in fourteen governorates and counting. Fieldwork is Arabic-language and governorate-based.

Roles we recruit for

• Enumerators — household and establishment surveys, tablet-based
• Field supervisors — team leading, spot checks and daily quality control
• Qualitative moderators — focus group facilitation and in-depth interviews
• Transcribers and translators, Arabic to English
• Data entry and cleaning

What we ask

• Previous fieldwork experience, and the governorates you can work in
• Experience with tablet-based collection — KoBo, ODK or SurveyCTO — if you have it
• Availability at short notice: data collection rounds are scheduled around a client timetable, not ours

How we work

Training on the specific tool and questionnaire is given before every round. Field staff are required to follow CGS safeguarding and data-protection procedures, which matter especially on assignments involving children, GBV survivors and refugee communities.

Applications stay on file and we come back to them when a round is being staffed in your governorate.
